Hi! My name is Jenni and I live in Miami, FL.
I love to experience new cultures, see the sights and explore nature. So far, I have been to 30 countries. My travel style can be best described as mid-budget, ambitious and fulfilling. I'm a hiker by day and a foodie-boozer by night, better known to me as "Net Zero Travel" where you burn enough calories during the day to indulge at night.
Other people often ask me "how can you afford to travel" or say "I wish I had time to travel" or say it's "on their bucket list". Well, you can travel, and you should do it now because tomorrow is not guaranteed; it just takes a bit of logistics, budgeting, and planning.
I don't like to blow my budget on getting there and back; however, as I work full time, I avoid flights that have more than 1 stop or have long layovers. If I can't find a direct affordable flight, we try to add the layover to be one of destinations. When you do this, you need to consider travel time/cost between airport and hotel. While I avoid splurging on hotels, I will not sacrifice basic comforts or privacy, and most certainly not safety. In more expensive cities, it's worth it to have that breakfast included in your stay. Where you live will determine a lot of your financial and time budgeting. I live in a city with quick access to 2 international airports, which is convenient for overseas travel; however, due to how far south I live, I lack the geographical luxury of easy road trips outside of Florida.
This blog is to share my experiences with you, provide travel guidance and hopefully to inspire you create your own travel memories.
I would love to hear from you, use the "contact me" to share feedback or ask any questions.
